ElaraSat MMS-1 mission patch

"MMS-1 SEPARATION CONFIRMED"​​

Gilmour Space’s first satellite bus, ElaraSat, was successfully launched and deployed on the SpaceX Transporter-14 launch on 24 June, 2025. 

​

ElaraSat is a 100-kg satellite platform built for diverse missions in orbit. Its first mission, called MMS-1, will carry a hyperspectral imager from our partners at CSIRO, designed to monitor water quality from space.

​

It's a major milestone for sovereign capability in Australia, and part of our goal to make space more accessible to global customers.

  • Mission: MMS-1 (Multi Mission Satellite-1)

  • Satellite Bus: ElaraSat Block 1 (developed by Gilmour Space)

  • Customer Payload: CSIRO

  • Launch Vehicle: SpaceX Falcon 9

  • Launch Site: Vandenberg Space Force Base, USA

  • Launch Window: Estimated NET June 22*, 2025 

  • Orbit: Sun-synchronous (~500–600 km)

  • Mission Objective: ElaraSat tech demonstration and support for CSIRO’s R&D.
