ERIS TESTFLIGHT 1

Eris is a small satellite launch vehicle designed to provide flexible launch options from Australia.

MISSION: Australia’s first attempt at launching an orbital rocket from Australian soil in more than 50 years.

LAUNCH SITE: Bowen Orbital Spaceport, Australia's first licensed orbital launch facility.

OUTCOME:  On July 30, 2025, the Eris rocket lifted off, cleared the launch tower and flew for 14 seconds before an anomaly resulted in the vehicle falling into the designated safety area.

The team has conducted its investigation into the anomaly, with TestFlight 2 planned for no earlier than end 2026.
